Doug Resler currently serves as Senior Pastor for Parker Evangelical Presbyterian Church, adjunct professor at Denver Seminary, and board chair for the Petros Network. He has over twenty-five years of ministry experience, eighteen of which has been in pastoral ministry in a lead pastor position. Doug received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary, and DMin from Columbia Theological Seminary. He has worked in a variety of different contexts including hospital administration, prison chaplaincy, church planting, and church revitalization. Throughout his career, Doug has specialized in helping struggling churches of all sizes revitalize by applying a systems theory approach. For the past thirteen years, Doug has taught courses on evangelism, mission, and pastoral leadership for Denver Seminary. Doug has written for Christianity Today on the subject of leadership, particularly how to persevere through the successes and failures of ministry. Doug also helps lead training conferences for indigenous church planters in the Horn of Africa twice a year. For more than six years, Doug has written daily Bible reflections, drawn mainly from his own ministry experience, to help readers engage Scripture more deeply and help them apply it to their daily lives.
